Asbestos Removal

One of the largest contributors to our annual workload is asbestos removal.  For hundreds of years asbestos has been used in a vast array of products and applications due to its fire and heat resistance. Those qualities made asbestos an ideal choice for production in everything from crayons to insulation. There are thousands of different products and materials used in construction alone that contain asbestos, and thousands more in other various industries. (ie, asbestos piping, asbestos floor tile, asbestos plaster, asbestos ceiling tile, asbestos shingles, asbestos siding)

While asbestos has not been banned in the United States as it has in other countries, encapsulation and removal of asbestos containing material (ACM) is subject to strict guidelines.  The demolition of buildings containing large amounts of asbestos based materials pose particular problems for builders and property developers, as these buildings often have to be deconstructed piece by piece, or the asbestos has to be painstakingly removed before the structure can be demolished.  Renovation and demolition of buildings containing asbestos is subject to NESHAP, EPA, and OSHA Regulations, as is the disposal of asbestos containing materials.

While we do not perform testing services, we do work closely with our clients, labs, and disposal facilities to adhere to the most current regulations set by the EPA, OSHA, RAPCA and DOT.  This is a practice we take seriously, and we pride ourselves in setting a high standard of quality and safety in all of our projects.
